Ultrapop Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case
I really didn’t imagine that my first review on EveAdler.com would be of the Ultrapop Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case. I thought I’d get it, and that would be that. No such luck.
My expectations of the Ultrapop Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case were to receive a somewhat decent marbled phone case. Particularly for $19, not including postage and packaging. The reality was much more disappointing.
Ultrapop isn’t usually a shop I’d buy something from, especially since it’s a US shop and everyone from the UK knows about Royal Mail’s £8 handling fee, but I had a discount code, so I figured I’d give it a go. In the end I spent $7.95 (thankfully I avoided the Royal Mail customs and handling fee), and I really wish I hadn’t.
I t thought I was getting the bright blue marbled phone case pictures below, as there wasn’t an option to pick which of the three. What I got was the must blue, which would be fine if it didn’t look like this …
It looked like this – the one on the left.
Upon and not too close inspection, the Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case looks fuzzy, pixelated, and the void of any of the magnificence I was promised. That might be going too far, but you have to understand – I don’t buy phone cases. I brought this one, because I expected something excellent – or at least mediocre.
I say ‘I brought this one’, but I didn’t get the one I was expecting. It also doesn’t mention how do you get either of the phone cases. Didn’t have to call? Email? Send a message via carrier pigeon? They should at least make that clear so you can be disappointed, but have an imitation of the phone case you want.
I feel I have to mention that the smell of the Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case is quite interesting, now I don’t know what other phone cases smell like, but this one smells like a child’s toy straight up packaging. And it feels like one of those creepy realistic dolls. That is honestly the only way I can describe it, or the only example I can think of.
A plus I can give to the Marbled Smoke Deep Blue iPhone Case is that it’s quite sturdy. You’re not going to easily bend this one in half, but I wouldn’t spend too long to trying. As I’m in a generous mood I will say that though they do give a 4-8 week timeframe for delivery, I was pleasantly surprised when I received it after the three-week mark.
Ultimately, it is just a phone case, but it wasn’t the phone case I was promised. I don’t know if the other two phone cases pictured are better in quality – less pixelated and grainy. I know that if I paying up to $20 phone case I want the image to at least be clear.
